I wasn't allowed to wear makeup until I went to high school when I was 14, and I was only allowed to have mascara and lip gloss. Times are changing, though. Kids have access to the Internet. A lot of the influencers they like or celebrities have beauty brands now. So I just want to know, one, if you heard about the Sephora problem. Two, how young is too young for makeup? And think again

I shared a link above to the BBC article about this and they talk a little bit about how brands are marketing this to children, which is a whole nother point. These kids are obviously being marketed to and so they feel like targets as well. Here is a buzzfeed link too, but if you really want to know more about this, it is an ongoing problem. You can type it in your computer, a bunch of articles will pop up

Now, when my daughter was in the 8th grade, I did allow her to get a little foundation and some lashes because she went to a dance. But other than that, no, they don't need to wear makeup. Why? You just don't. And I know nowadays everybody is putting on all this makeup and everything like that, but a lot of the adults that are wearing makeup need to stop because it's just getting to be ridiculous
