It's just that someone's willing to sit there and look them in the eye and listen and not judge and not make comments and not be shocked by the terrible things that they've had to endure and go through and maybe even had to do. But someone who's willing to listen and come up alongside them and just share with them and let them share their story. Someone that they know that they can come to and talk to and share. Things that they feel afraid to share even with their spouses

And I felt that what I brought to the table, that my value was in creating a nice environment, really an environment of nice conversation, of moments around dinners, around food, of asking each member of that family specific things that maybe they didn't ask each other in their day to day just because they're in such close proximity
