So Rohit. The book seeks to provide readers with a new lens to understand the current era and describes it as the most dazzling and bewildering in human history. Could you perhaps elaborate on what makes the current era particularly unique or challenging compared to previous periods?

Such intense and transformative progress can be said to represent a rupture in the fabric of human history itself. It changes everything, individual psychology, human relations, family configurations, politics, market structures, global alliances, you name it. It is this combination of dazzling material progress in the midst of the unraveling of the world as we know it, that makes our age the most bewildering in history. However, there is some good news

I am really curious to know what prompted you to address the intricate theme of an unraveling world order in your book? And how did you go about integrating such a wide array of disciplines like economics, geopolitics, technology, and society, to provide a comprehensive understanding of such a complex subject?

The study of the unipolar world automatically led into the excesses of unipolarity, which led to instabilities in the Middle east and Europe, which in turn stretched us financial resources and deepened its domestic polarities. And of course, the warp speed at which technology was developing affected each one of the realms, from social media, heightening social divisions to drones changing the nature of warfare and automation, radically transforming the nature of work

This led to a problem of bad debt within China and a sovereign debt crisis among its allies. The sovereign debt crisis among emerging economies was also triggered by the deregulation of global finance, leading to an increasing share of private lending to developing economies at high and variable interest rates

And that is the attempt I made in this book, as well as in my previous non academic work here. I must thank the editor of the last Dance of Rationality, Sonali Jindal, and the copy editor, Ananya Bhatia, whose nudges allowed me to strike the right balance between rigor and creativity. Thank you so much for the questions that you've asked
