The 700 million dollar man

Welcome to APB, your all point bulletin sports show, and I'm your gracious host guru. Ball one. Well, as I said a few months ago, right after the baseball season ended, I told you guys where Shohei was going. It wasn't even a big surprise to me to see that he went to the Dodgers because there have been reports stating that that is where he wanted to go

You. I have been in total disbelief seeing 700 million. And my first thought is how much longer is it going to be until we actually see a billion dollar contract? But 700 million. And what's really ironic is this morning I was just watching a clip. It was an old clip, and there was a debate going on of whether Larry Bird was worth $1 million a year or not. 1 million. It wasn't really all that long ago

So it just goes to show, the cost of living and everything continues to rise, and with it, only the athletes Paychecks, because it doesn't seem like the normal working guy, the normal Joe. Money ever exceeds what he needs. It seems like as soon as we get a raise, the cost of living goes up right along with it

New details are coming out about this Oatani deal, and it is setting the baseball world on fire. My phone is blowing up. Everybody is talking about it, and there is just a lot of noise going around on social media. So I wanted to bring this over to swell to where we can talk through this, calmly, figure out what exactly is going on and then what the future implications of this deal might be

Spread it out over some years because, like, you know, the older you get, the harder it is for you to get money. Your income seems to just dry up. Why? Because you're not moving as much as you used to. You're not into things the way you used to be. You can't work the way you want to because of your age, because of your illnesses or different things like that. So the deferment is a great move

So it's this set of regulations that is to stop clubs, or clubs as much as possible from basically spending unlimited amounts of wealth on the transfer season. So there are certain teams that have, for the last several years, sort of operated in their own ballpark because of their ownership and the amount of money they have at their disposal. Teams like Chelsea, teams like Manchester City and recently Newcastle, who have been purchased in the last few years by the Saudis
