Thoughts On The Age Of Mass Confusion

article image placeholderUploaded by @GlennPriceMann
So the media literacy, if you think about the fact that so many adults now just don't read, they don't read books at all, and they're very proud of it. There's also very vocal amount of people who say, well, I don't watch any movies that weren't made, like, in the last 1015 years or something like that. So this ability to just sort of dismiss any thoughts or any opinions of, because it's not now

If we can't trust the sources, or we don't know which sources to trust, if we can't trust our senses, there's, like, so much information and such a rapid advancement in science and technology, for example, that what we may have understood with respect to science in one area yesterday might be something completely new and different tomorrow

But I think really sort of holding platforms accountable when it comes to certain things, disinformation, misinformation, and also, I guess, trying to, I don't know how you would spark or invoke some of the ethics of the first version of web, where it was just that sort of, there was a sort of shared agreement between many parties about what was acceptable and what was not acceptable. But thank you for listening and sharing. I love the points that you made

It. Hey, thank you for listening, for sharing your thoughts. I love the points that you made. And I do think that, you know, Americans, I think we are addicted to the spectacle that confusion causes and the sort of the media hype and all the things that come along with it
