Thoughts On Instant Gratification.

article image placeholderUploaded by @GlennPriceMann
So you have all these things where we don't really have the many people just don't have the ability to envision a future that is prosperous and hopeful. So when you don't have that, you only have now. Meaning you try to make right now as pleasurable as possible. Meaning, hey, you're going to order that take out even if it's expensive. You're going to go on that vacation and put on your credit card even though you really can't afford it

But I even kind of see it in myself and I kind of have to catch myself sometimes to like, okay, this is not McDonald's, and you kind of have to wait to have your food prepared and have a clean table. Yeah, it permeates everything. I even see when I talk to people sometimes they tell me about their dating stories. It's like, yeah, I met this person and they were nice person

Hey, thank you for listening, for sharing your thoughts. And I love what you said about lack of patience because I think so many of us suffer from that because of instant gratification. And we're so used to getting things right away that anytime we have to wait a little bit longer, it does feel a little bit torturous, and it feels a little anxiety producing when you have to wait longer than you expect or want, even if it's something that's not really that important.
