He raised him since he was two. My mother was heartbroken. She was feeling abandoned and lost. My stepfather's name couldn't be mentioned without hearing revenge fantasies about his demise and how he's going to regret leaving her. Then Michael was gone. It would just be the two of us with no buffer. This was not good for me. I have wanted to live my own life, but I got two years watching out for my mother. Telling her wasn't an option

I think I asked her what she meant by that, but ended up tuning her out. I probably asked follow up questions, but any energy I was giving her was cut off. That exact moment. I become stoned, and my words fell out my mouth. Flat, as matter of fact. Now, I would show no emotion to this lady. My brother had gotten locked up, and I'm bringing her down. She couldn't be more far removed in me than in that moment

The purpose of these stories, I think you were meaning Jess because she's the one that really went there at a really dark time. I think that's important with a partner. Finding someone where you could go through tough times with, I think list of what you look for in a partner. A lot of people really disregard that. I think it's very important because life is funny. You have ups and downs, and you just got to find someone that you feel comfortable navigating through it
