Why Do We Find Certain Things Difficult?

And when you complete this task one chapter in the first week, your brain decodes it as success. Your goal is to repeat this process and slowly, over time, you increase the difficulty level. Now, this might reduce the ease of achievability, but that's a fair trade. You can now sacrifice on ease because your tolerance of difficulty has increased. Now, when this is done enough times, it sends a subliminal message to your subconscious mind that difficult or challenging activities are in fact, rewarding

Hi. It was good to start the Monday with your swell. I also checked out your video. I must say that it is very, very interesting and it made me realize that unconsciously. In fact, I have been implementing a few of what you had suggested in trying to hack the reward system in my brain by breaking up bigger challenges and setting up myself to have small wins in whatever I try to do to keep me motivated enough to continue

@Ramya expectations of a reward is a powerful driver. Rightly said πŸ’―

Hello Ramya. Happy Monday to you. You raise a very important aspect in your reply, and that is the expectation of the reward is the real motivator. And you're so right. The factor behind that is the expectation of receiving something has an inherent emotion attached to it, right? And the whole idea with our subconscious mind, or the way it works, is our subconscious mind understands emotions much better than it understands logic and reasoning

Like, I'll go for something that's easier because I know that I can do it, or I've done it before, or I've seen somebody else do it, and we end up tending to stay inside of our comfort zone. So I really appreciate this. It's a really great reminder, and I'm looking forward to hearing even more about the subject. I'll definitely be checking out the video, so thank you so much for sharing

He needs to evaluate himself in a proper manner where he is heading in life and why he has reached a particular level. Then he can make progress into the next realm of his life. So this indeed was a very enlightening shift. Thank you for sharing

I mean, that's like a big old, fat, round number, and you can look at that number, and I'm going to lose that 50 pounds. But what happens when your body is just not shedding the weight as fast as you would hope? What happens when you have a setback and you're not able to focus on your fitness at the moment? You have to focus on something that is more important in that moment

You invest a little bit, you see your dividends coming in. Your brain takes in the subliminal messaging. That okay, my efforts are reaping benefits. So let me put in a bit more effort. Let me invest a bit more of my time, a bit more of my energy into it. And that's simply the way it progresses. I'm so happy that you got the gist of what the whole message was trying to say. And it's not about extensive flashy plans and presentation decks
