Overcome NEGATIVE Thoughts

article image placeholderUploaded by @Gamechanger
Number five talk to a friend. If you have a friend in whom you can confide easily, please talk to that friend. Talking with a friend will help you vent out your feelings, and you will be able to understand what is it that is disturbing you and how you can get over it. Number six look at the future effects. Will this brooding help you with anything in your life? You will obviously say no. That implies you're brooding for no reason. Number seven help someone

And I really loved this concept of looking at the positive things. So especially even in every aspect, we are always tend to look at the worst thing, but we forget that we have to look at the positive aspect, as you said sometimes, and I really loved it. Who knows that the job wasn't fit for you. You might have ended up crying for the whole life entering into that job. That is the reason it might have happened so that you missed it

And it's only recently that I've realized, okay, you can't allow other people to have that much of an influence on your emotions and to be okay in accepting them where they are and to see the goodness in people and to understand that just people are flawed. So thank you so much for this swell, and it's really nice that you laid it all out. And it really, really is good reminder that, to me, that truly that overcoming negative thoughts is a discipline

Hey. Ranjana ma'am. Yes? I really agree with all those points you have shared. To overcome negative thoughts the one thing which I follow is like whenever the negative thoughts acquire me, what I do is I immediately jump and start counting the blessings and I think that so far in my life everything went smooth and good and I believe that even in the further, even in the future there is a lot more thing good for me in store so this way this beliefs allows me to believe in positive thoughts

And one of the practice which I do, that one of my friend is always there for me, which works as a sounding board, whether it's a negativity or the negative thoughts or something bothering me, something which I cannot share with everyone or something which I am struggling with, which creates some sort of stress, some sort of anxiety, fear. So I just go back to this person. I spend some time with him and share everything

Thank you so much. Vivek, I think what you mentioned about the friends being the sounding board, I think that's the best thing because friends know us inside out and they are the best people to give us advice and be there to support us whenever things go haywire. So thank you so much for stopping by and sharing your views

It becomes a kind of we get into a state of denial, we start bending so much, we start leaning so much on our escape mechanism kind of strategy that we adopt for ourselves and we start blaming situations, people around us that because of this particular reason, we could not reach our goals properly. So this is a kind of an obsession that people keep on living with and they get so very obsessed

Thank you so much, Swati, for your kind words. I'm so glad that you found this useful and it resonated with you. I totally agree with you that when some things, like the negative things, happen, it's up to us to choose whether to become wiser or to just cling on to it. So that's a very good take that you mentioned. And you rightly said that people love to be negative

Hello. Ranjana Ma'am thank you for inviting and sorry for a little late to pray. You know, you always come up with such self help topics and you give a proper guide, you enumerate it, you put it in concise points, and you elaborate it so beautifully. And these are not your random, quote like sentences that don't overthink and don't do this or don't do that

And I feel that, yes, what you're saying is so correct because if the positive outlook really helps in life and yes, I actually always talk about things that from my personal experiences. So this is what I could figure out from whatever I've been through in life. And I'm glad that it helps or it probably resonates somewhere
