It gives you a kind of confidence because one thing that I was very sure of was that I would do some kind of writing. I didn't know I was struggling. I was growing up in Delhi of the 80s, so there was certainly no avenues for fiction writing beyond getting a short story published in a magazine. So the avenues were not clear to me. And I then felt that the next best thing to do in my circumstances was to enroll for a journalism course
