Attachment-Theory And Swell

article image placeholderUploaded by @FryedOreo
You. I've been having this half baked idea of attachment theory, and how would it look on swell? So those who are familiar with attachment theory, there's many different iterations of attachment theory, but in principle it's based upon relationships you have had as a child with your mother or your guardian or lack thereof, and how that manifests into relationships you form later in life. So, like with friends or work colleagues or your spouse or potential lovers, et cetera, how that permeates throughout

Can certain Attachment-Styles manifest on Swell?

And that is this idea that it's prescriptive of what you will want, will need as an adult. Because then people often make different conclusions and decisions based on this prescriptive idea of their attachment style when they have more free choice, more free will. I mean, that is evident when they tell you that your attachment style as a child can be, but not necessarily indicative of your future, you can then make a different decision. So really, what is this telling us?

So yeah, I'm trying to remember what else she said. Oh, it's with social media. And even with that being said, some people I know have a healthy usage of social media, whereas possibly I more than likely I don't. So I do find that fascinating as well. And I guess in terms of like attachment styles, I was starting to think. But again, it's all based on not even theory, just my intuition

I mean, you said so initially, and I was attempting to wrestle with what you've put forward here in my own way, of using those same types of things, of analysis and using science and what we do and don't know. And even the fuzzy stuff. Right. Or the pseudoscience, as you called it. Maybe an example of this is the five love languages

Oh, Christina, as always, you raised great points. And to be fair, and I kind of highlighted this within the original swell, I realized very quickly that attachment styles and theory reminded me a lot of MBTI in terms of how people were talking about it. And it's pretty much a lot of self assessment. It not even a test, but you just kind of read a description, and if it applies to you, you feel it applies to you. It does

There's a lot of stuff going on with me when it comes to putting out, I guess, new content on swell. And we talked about this the other day. When it comes to social media, I'm the same way. And with social media, it's different because sometimes I can have the energy I want to make memes, but then it's more of a. More of a fad, I guess

So, for instance, Demarkis, you talked about how you use swell, and maybe I guess I could have then had an idea of which one you were talking about, but instead, you kind of went off of what I was kind of saying in the original swell and also what I had said to Christina. So my apologies for that, because going that way, you kind of don't know any. I don't think you use any of the terminology of any of the attachment theory types

And if someone says something I agree with, I will send a like, there are times, a lot of times, I just don't feel like responding, even though I appreciate the topic. And I'll listen to the topic and I'll listen to the responses, but a lot of times I just don't feel motivated to respond to the topic, even though I'm grateful for the topic and all that stuff. And I'm grateful to see how other people respond to the topic

It. This is one of those fun swells. When I look back on it, it seems a bit silly that I would even make this, but at that moment in time I thought, what a cool way to have people maybe discover a thing or two about themselves. But looking back on it, I think that's just silly observation of mine that always is there. I'm always thinking about the way people swell. Can it also shadow their daily life?
