No, not crush, but a high school sweetheart. That's what I meant to say. So anyway, love bombing with these examples given oh, let's read the definition as well, just so we can have a full, rounded understanding. Noun the action or practice of lavishing someone with attention or affection, especially in order to influence or manipulate them. Quote cults often use tactics like love bombing to lure new members. End quote

Have you ever been affected by this?

When I saw the image, I was going to say it was an interesting way of someone explaining love bombing, as in, I wasn't sure I agreed with it necessarily, but the definition really wraps things up. And according to the definition, yes, I have definitely been and have used this term for a very long time, love bombed. It was very much used in a way to to make me feel good, make me feel valued, but from a manipulative standpoint

And I kind of had some concept of what it was. And yeah, those examples were a little I mean, some of them I can see, but yeah, some of them did kind of seem like it was from a male's, a heterosexual woman's point of view about the men she's dated and what to look out for. That's what it looked like to me. And obviously it may differ from different orientation to orientation. Right. But that's interesting

They want to make everybody happy. They want to be on everybody's good side. They want to win everybody over. So what's the best way to do that is to bombard you with all the things that you love, all the gifts that you love, and to pour and shower this abundant amount or exorbitant amount of attention on you. Because in reality, they're projecting what they've always wanted. They never got that

And they may seem to have it all together and everything, but you don't see the beast inside of them. You just see this good person, this good natured person and it kind of can backfire, but then you see the person who is a bit more rough around the edges and whatnot to where that can be appealing. And obviously love bombing is a bit different though, because it's not a certain type

If they look good, smell good, if I like their outfit, I let them know, oh, your haircut is nice, or you're very handsome, and I try to let men know. But I understand that men don't hear this on a regular basis. And yes, you were right about the woman who said that she typically fell for men who are trying to get themselves together, trying to get on their feet. That's the nurturing side of us women. We love to nurture

For what it's worth, I don't think you were living under a rock. I think the term hasn't really become popularized until recently. Like you said, it's now become a buzzword. And I hadn't really thought of describing the men coming on to me as love bombing. It never crossed my mind, actually. It used to happen all the time in Vegas. I would even wear a fake wedding ring, talk about a fake man in my life

So it's hard to know what to look for, what is normal. But it will be people like me that they gravitate to and bomb the h*** out of. So now I'm taking steps to be healthier in my pursuit of relationships through the therapy and through some self discovery. And this really does exist

Hey, Renee, thanks for taking the time to respond to this swell cast and good job. Love bombing? Yeah. Certain aspects of it are admirable to some degree, but it can be a little creepy if one is not too careful. Yeah. In truth, I had to do a little more research just to get a feel and idea for the impact this can have in like a real time setting for relationship dynamics and what have you

I hate when people throw words like that around. Because people that have experienced real s*** you're taken away from their experience. Because that s*** is real, but it loses its value, right, whenever people just throw it around willy nilly. But they do exist. Anyway, thank you for popping back in and let me see you or hear you dadding again. Bye
