#ThoughtExperiment Hit The Like If You Can Hear This Swell
This is a thought experiment. If you are hearing this swell, please indicate it by hitting the like button. Thank you so much for participating in this thought experiment
Only after you explain to me how it is a thought experiment versus an experiment. What are we thinking through? I'm not participating until I understand

I'm curious, Christina. Why didn't you hit the like button? What made you instead want to respond rather than hit the like button?
Because I don't know what it is I'll be liking. I mean, apart from you asking me to do it and then doing it. If we're getting into the topic of when does one push their like button? I use it for a variety of reasons. I wish there was different options, but sometimes it's just to let somebody know that I heard them. Sometimes it's because I really liked what they said. Yeah
You know, I'd say it's probably more telling when someone does not get a like from me than if they do, because if they do, it can be interpreted in multiple ways, right? I mean, it depends on specifics situation. But if you don't get a like from me

Oh. What you're getting? What's going on is just if you can hear the swell, you hit the like button. But I kind of have a feeling why you didn't want to do that. I won't say it yet, but so far, the thought experiment is kind of going as I would expect it to be
Is it because you think I'm rebelling against being told to do something? You'd probably be right. It's funny. If someone asked me to do something, I was already planning on doing it. Fine. But you tell me to do it. No

I'm going to tell you a little story. Christina and this was something that happened maybe six, seven years ago. I made this post saying how I hate when people say the word okay. And I was expecting people to agree and to think that it was kind of lazy and they could think of better things to say. But suddenly everybody said okay. And they flooded my feed with okay. And I thought that was fascinating
And then, you know, so same I guess I used that same philosophy when I elected to hit the like button for fried oreo. Because if he's conducting an experiment of some sort and he's putting it out there, then why not participate? Like, what is the detriment to me for not doing so?

And we definitely look at a post differently when it has a certain amount of likes or a certain amount of replies or a certain amount of listens versus as if it had zilch, zada, nothing. So, yeah, I do find that fascinating. And thank you again for participating. Hopefully you've had a great weekend or still are having a great weekend, and I look forward to hearing from you soon
