But, I mean, seriously, if you wanted what everybody thinks or a popular answer, then ask that. This is one of my pet peeves. When people either get upset when you answer the question they really asked or you reflect back to them or repeat back to them verbatim what they actually said, and they're like, I didn't say that. But you did. Word for word. That's what you said

They might have some bodily fluids mixed in with your food, but like you said, it's so many ways to interpret it to where it's just not a clearly defined question. So as a customer, I mean, as an employee, especially in that field, how much of it is your job to get to the clear question they're trying to ask? And I can imagine she must hear that 100 times a day when people ask what's the best thing to order for the special?

Okay, now that is a slow to keep an eye out for Dewuan the origin of these phrases of pardon my French or french kissing or french fries, etc. Etc. I think I've heard one about French fries, but I only have a vague recollection of them. Maybe it's similar to like freedom fries eyes. But anyway, you know what you said maybe he should be banned from the establishment. I was thinking he should be banned from human interaction. I don't know man

Or what's the best item on the menu? Or what's the best dessert on the menu? Or what's the best drink on the menu? And the person would tell me their preference, the person being the waiter or waitress would tell me their present, their preference, not present, their preference. And I have at times went with their preference and have been greatly dissatisfied and have said, hey, I need to return this drink

Sounds like an a****** to me, but now maybe I guess she's being honest, right? You know, I kind of said something like that before myself. I was at Panera Bread, and I asked this young lady that was taking my order, I asked her, what is your favorite meal on the menu? What do you prefer to order or to eat? Since you work here, I'm pretty sure you get a discount

And from your experience, you have found the hard way that sometimes what the server suggests is not a great suggestion at all and maybe it's something they personally prefer more so than what is the popular item at the restaurant. So, yes, the customer has to be careful in how they word the questions and make sure they know exactly what it is that they desire and want. And the server must make sure to offer a variant amount of options for the consumer unless specified otherwise
