CultureEpi01: Swell-Culture?
Hello and welcome to another mini series where we examine a particular thing and try to see how it relates to our lives. And this week, or this particular series of six episodes, we will cover culture. And where better to start than here on swell. Do you feel swell has a culture? And if so, where do you see yourself within the culture of swell?
And so then, you know, I keep coming back thinking, well, what is this going to turn out to be? And more people means than maybe, I don't know. When you have a lot of people, then does it. Is it possible to have a culture? I mean, would you say there's a Twitter culture? I'm sorry, an x culture? I can't say x. It's so stupid. I'm sorry

It's real Korea. So I really want to see, just starting off with this, what other coaches have people been involved with that was recently created, but I enjoyed this one

You had said you're waiting for other people to respond yeah, you should know that my posts tend to have everyone's waiting for one person to respond so then they can say something. But I think to some degree that's also the culture of Swell. You know, this is a place where people engage audibly, but to some degree they also want to see merit within that engagement of other people doing it, so they can feel interested in wanting to do it themselves. So

So when you find that most people have spent their time on social media communicating in this way, it can be quite different to where you have to audibly speak about things that normally would be text. And audibly, things come out differently within text, especially here where you are kind of given a predetermined time to respond rather than having to do it on the spot

I can't, yeah, I can't even remember account the amount of times I saw somebody get on the train and real talk like they got on the train and I gave them my seat and I just like, hey, do you want my seat? Why did those interactions diminish so rapidly? Anyway, holla

Hey, Oreo, once again, thanks for the swell, man. Swell culture. Is there such a thing? I don't know. I'm relatively new on here. But hey, man, I'm feeling good right now. I'm having some coffee and a butternut donut. I am in heaven. But let me just say this. I feel wise and so blessed to know that I am not really plugged into the social media universe, man. I have swell on my phone

Is that his way of saying, I'm, you're not interested in me yet? I don't know. I'm just trying to picture it from her viewpoint as a woman, as a young lady. But, yeah, I see your point, man. It's kind of an uncomfortable thing to observe and realize. But I do think the technology is kind of, in some ways, affecting how we, our behavior outside our social ability to socialize when we're outside the house

That inclusion that is happening is due to the fact that there are people, younger, younger generations who understand these people are not going to relinquish their right to but live in a place and not be disturbed to be unfettered knowing that their ability to be unfettered leads to generations declining rapidly. I didn't expect to be understood actually, and I'm glad that you reached out to me because it lets me know that I shouldn't actually care to communicate with them anymore

Well, thank you for expanding this topic. Within the matter of social media as a culture itself, and one in which, by many accounts that's becoming a bit more in the know today, is to avoid it altogether or to limit your exposure to it, for one can become inundated with information to which can dull their senses. Yes, it's very interesting. I myself communicate with my family or observe my family maybe 90% of the time through social media
