Arithmetic. I play with the definition of insanity by how often I ask myself this exact question. Especially when I know that I have the answer. Someone may try to argue it, but the truth is clear. All those well mean words are sweet but only pity the proof is truly seen within the results yielded such a bitter arithmetic to find the total and altogether makes zero or worse negative the answer is always the same I am not enough

And I appreciate you taking the time to not only listen, but to comment like that. I can't say that I necessarily realized where the poem was going to go when I started writing it, but eventually I had enough of a momentum towards mathematic things that I decided to go with it. And it's funny because math is probably my least favorite subject, correct? But I figured it fit with the end point and the answer to the equation, so it just made sense
