The new creatures have been named Timorebestia, meaning "Terror beasts" in latin. They had fins down their sides, long antennae, and massive jaw structures. Their closest living relatives, as far as we can tell, are arrow worms, but these are much, much smaller and feed mostly on plankton. We had long suspected that arrow worms were related to another prehistoric creature called Amiskwia, and the similarities between Amiskwia and Timorebestia help us to be more certain about that conclusion
