Like, you can be a free thinker who still is doing things for your parents sake or for society's sake, or only believing in a religion because that's what you grew up on. Those are the things of mediocrity, because there's nothing wrong with learning things that were passed down to you. But the issue comes in when you're not taking your own individual agency to say, okay, what is out there that I believe and why am I not listening to it?
