Defined Selfishness
And so before you tell somebody that you're not selfish, I just want to caution everybody to have that self check moment and be concerned enough to hear the person out completely. Don't just be so quick to say, well, I'm not selfish. And I think the major dynamic here is we got to stop just associating selfishness with material things. When you're in a relationship, there are so many other things that carry weight and carry much more weight than anything material

And I know that you spoke about romantic relationships, but really, it's any relationship, whether it be parent child, whether it be sibling, whether it be romantic, whether it be friendships, even your relationships at your job, right? You have to be selfishness to be in any type of family relationships. And you have to be selfless because you have to think less of yourself than you do of others. There is a verse in the Bible that says, esteem others higher than yourself

Hey, Andrea, thank you for that response. Sorry, I'm just now getting back to you. But yeah, in regards to what you were saying about being selfless, being a two time divorcee, I know a lot about having to be selfless and those type of things, and I thank God that I was able to use those experiences that I had that were bad for good. And I also definitely appreciate you bringing up the spiritual aspect, because I definitely am a spiritual being as well
