What are your thoughts?

And I told you that it was readily available over the counter in nearly every grocery store, convenience store and gas station nationwide, and doesn't require to be approved by the FDA, and doesn't require to have warning labels on it, what would you think that we have an obligation to do as Americans? And better yet, what product do you think I'm talking about? Because I'm curious to know what you think of when you hear those statistics. But what would you want us to do?

And I think that part of the problem is that we've kind of let this snowball out of control. Drinking is just such a regular part of our culture now that I think we'd have to work two or three times as hard to reduce the effects that we're seeing. One thing that I think is interesting is a while back, if you were somebody that sorry, my dog's trying to get to me

It's still very toxic and harmful. There's no denying that. So my guess is alcohol. And as far as what can we do to help? Just educating people. Educating people on what it does to the body, what it does to the liver, what it does to your mind, how it affects your cognitive ability to make decisions. Just really getting down to the nitty gritty of all these things that are not so ideal or beneficial

People will say that I'm being judgmental or that I'm just saying that because I'm sober, so I notice this stuff more things like that, and it's like, no, that's not the case at all. I'm legitimately concerned for people that feel that they have to have alcohol in every every event of their life, right? If we're celebrating something, we drink. If we're mourning something, we drink. If our team wins, we drink

Everyone knows that with fentanyl, with Xanax, that, oh, you're taking that. You could become addicted to it. Yeah, well, you could become addicted to fucking alcohol. But we don't want to look at it that way, because, like, you said it has permeated every aspect of our society. We do not treat it seriously enough

And then you can hurt people on one end of it because you're giving them information that they ain't ready for. And on the other hand, you can be completely on the wrong side of the Constitution. So, yeah, alcohol is a tough one. It's been around for a long time. We've been through Prohibition, and it is over the counter. It most certainly is. One of the most hardest detoxes I ever seen was from alcohol. Hallucination is the whole shot

We have all these public initiatives to try and get fentanyl off the streets and things like that, but there are more dangerous substances out there that are more readily available, that are legal to obtain, and we're not having the same kind of conversation about it. And I think that that's a problem. I think that's something that needs to change. And last, something else you said, not everybody is an addict or an alcoholic. And I mean, I agree with you on that

Then there are some alcoholics that call themselves alcoholics but still use drugs because they believe that the alcohol is the problem. So you got a little something for everybody there. But there's twelve step groups if you need that type of help. Usually you can go in the newspaper or you can just Google and it'll be a meeting list somewhere in your area. That way you can maybe get some help with this

You. So to wrap it up, you know, before we mike mistaken alcohol for a, you know, like a public emergency, you're not cracking the top ten, let alone the top five and causes of death. And, I mean, you could latch a whole lot of things onto a respiratory disease, cancer on down and say that I guess you could say cirrhosis of the liver, but you're not cracking the top five causes. The death of alcoholics doesn't even involve anyone else
