So as you can well imagine, the further you go, the more you have to remember. So in order to earn black belt, I had to demonstrate every form of every belt previously, one at a time, starting with white, yellow, orange, green, purple, all of them, all the way to first degree. I then had to demonstrate the self defenses of each one and any weapons

I'm going to earn everything. And I remember the day that when I did all that testing and I did all those demonstrations of all the previous belt levels, of all the forms, all the weapons, all the self defenses, and I did all the sparring. And by the way, when you spar against others, when you're testing, it's not about winning. They don't care whether you win in the sparring. What they want to see, how you spar
