Struggling With Self Worth

article image placeholderUploaded by @elr1227
You. In the year 2000, I started struggling with an illness and I didn't know what it was. Later on, I found out it was a Lyme disease, but it really caused a lot of chaos in my life and a lot of personal struggle with relationships and work. I found myself really having to deal with a lot of shit that most people don't have to deal with, and trying to maintain my job to pay my bills and mortgage

You. After he left, the gentleman that gave up his time slot to allow me to get this veteran in early for his scheduled exam spoke with me and it really resonated with me because I had been having such a terrible time at work. I was made to feel as though I was worthless, I didn't belong there, that I was not a good employee. I think probably all of us have questions about whether or not we're meeting our employers needs

Human to human, socially, you did the right thing, and you were clearly paying attention to people and taking care of them when they needed it, even if they were rude or whatever. I think that shows a kind of mental and emotional fortitude that a lot of people don't have
