Hey, Ethan. Eric here. Thanks for the invite, man. Hey, to be quite honest with you, I have no idea what my purpose is. I just know where I've been, what I've done already, and where I'm at. Right now, I'm not sure where I'm going. So it's a very interesting question. And thanks again for the invite, man. And Happy New Year
@SeekingPlumb

@eeeethooo

There's a lot of ideas wrapped up in, not necessarily spoken of, but wrapped up in the idea of, quote, unquote, purpose. And because of that, I don't necessarily ascribe to it. I do think that it's valuable to set goals and try to achieve them. That we can continue to shape who we want to be and grow and change from that, but to somehow put it all under the umbrella of purpose I see difficulties there, although that's just me

My purpose is to be a voice to those who might not have a voice or able to speak on things that they want to get out but don't know how. My purpose is to help restore love back to the planet on a larger scale, because I feel like it's more hatred in the world than love

It could be the death of a family member or it could be the birth of a new family member, like a child, that becomes their purpose because then they have to support and raise that individual and they find that sense of duty in it. And so I've done a little bit of thought into this and I think whenever I talk about purpose, it always comes down, at least in my sense, to some kind of duty. It's a responsibility to something or someone else

Yo. What's up, Elle? Thanks always for the golden nuggets you're dropping here. That was awesome. And I had to go back and listen again to a part of it because you said my purpose is to be an expression of change and then that there's more outside of the orthodox mindset, that there's more to be seen or more to be had. And I totally agree, dude, and you put that perfectly

I love this question, and I love any question that makes you really have to sit and think and not just give generic answers. I believe that my purpose is to break generational curses, just make things better for my next lifetime, for my family's next lifetime and my friends next lifetime

I mean, baby. And they go through life and they just follow them. For the rest of us, it's a little bit more complex because then eventually not having a purpose, that's something that I don't believe. That thing is you haven't found a name for it. But every day we're doing something towards it. It might be a self loving purpose, self survival purpose, but we just haven't named it yet. But we all do have a purpose

I actually had been on my own spiritual journey for a really long time, and it never occurred to me that I should actually be doing something. I guess I was just having the existential crisis of, hey, where do we go after here? Or is reality real, or just so many questions that never actually forced me to live in the now. But recently I've come to find now that I have actually moved careers, I've kind of changed people, places and things
@SeekingPlumb

@Kristy @eeeethooo

The way that I think of these things is that I live according to the things that I value and who I want to be. And the imagery that comes to mind is I'm on a surfboard and my center of gravity is holding me stable. I have all of the tools and skills and abilities within me to navigate through the world, and I can surf, and the ebb and flow of what life throws at me, I can do

This is such a deep and cool question. I discovered my purpose a few years ago and the whole COVID thing and being retrospective and introspective and all that, and I realized that my purpose is to help people find their way along their path. I love being able to talk to people and help them. And I use Tarot cards and Oracle cards and divination to just walk them through things that they're going through and showing them the different paths

Again, I'm new here, so I don't know what's acceptable and what isn't. I hope that we can all be open and honest and be ourselves and talk about things the way that we'd like to, but I definitely don't want to step on any toes. So if you want to keep talking about this topic, that's be amazing. If not, I totally understand, but I appreciate you responding. This has been really, really exciting
@SeekingPlumb

@Kristy

I am not a human and that I really don't like because I see social audio as being so much more personal than other social platforms. And so if we were having a live conversation, standing together, talking, and somebody was to poke me and say, hey, check out my podcast. Hey, check out my podcast. Hey, do you know what I mean? So there comes a point when it's insensitive. I'm just really not a fan of that. But that's me

When I was much more younger, at the age of 25, by a professor who told me that I would never make it in life, I had to redefine my purpose. And I told myself of that. I want to be that woman standing in front of multiple people, telling them that I'm going to make a name, I'm going to stand tall, and I'm going to achieve all the successes that I was told that I would never achieve

And I'm sorry about that experience in 25 years old in college with that professor. But some things that seem really bad at the time turn out to be some of the best things that happen to us. And I feel like that, in a way, has driven you to become the strong person that you are today, because people told you you couldn't do it, and you showed them wrong. So if I produce, for instance, I'm a writer and I'm a poet, and if I produce poetry or Kristina, that affects change in this world or affects people who hear it or read it or brings about some type of newness, then I have affected change. And if I've affected change, then I have fulfilled a purpose. But I don't think that you can quantify purpose into only one scene

Well, I think that cooking is when you take the chicken breast, you slice it real thin and then you slap them all on a plate, maybe six or seven strips of them chicken breasts. You put them on a plate in the microwave and you set it for about seven and a half minutes, full power. And what you'll come out with then is a little bit of, like, beef jerky. It's chicken. Of course it's not beef jerky, it's chicken jerky

I love taking a new group of people out to see a sunrise out on the river, get in the kayaks and paddle out for a sunrise and just to watch the world wake up in the morning. Every time you go forwards, you end up having to go back because you got to revise stuff that connects to the new stuff you've added. And then when you do a revision on one part, you realize that revision actually affects another part. So it can be very indepth, definitely.
