Hello. So any of you have experienced situation like this and I want to hear how you cope up with it. Because it's very difficult to have your near and dear ones suffering from mental health. But they are not ready to accept that they are suffering. Thank you

And I'm not a renowned psychiatrist or a counselor, but I know how to handle such people because I have been through it. After my mother, me, my sister and me both went into depression and we knew that we had to take medicine and help because we have been through the journey where a person doesn't accept the situation because of social stigma. It is a very terrible thing to handle. So all I would say is just be but just listen to her. That is all she needs

And we have to take care of ourselves also. We were not at an age where we knew so much about mental health. So from my personal experience, I would strongly recommend you and your sister to take care of yourself, to take care of your father and whosoever is there in the family who is with her to take care of your physical, mental and emotional well being. Please try and adopt whatever suits you. Take deep breaths

And other than that, most importantly, like Pragati said, please take care of yourself. Do not lose yourself in this. Because it happens not just with mental illness, but also with physical illness. Even if one person is sick at home. So the caretakers, it takes a toll on the caretakers also. So we also have to take care of ourselves so that we are able to help that person in a better way. We shouldn't get exhausted and worn out because of that

Hi, Pragati. Thank you for your response. It was a very detailed explanation that helped me a lot. For now, she's doing better. What she was three to four months back. She's much better now. And we have also now learned how to cope up with her. And yes, we will take care of ourselves also. Thank you for making that point. Thank you so much again for this response. It meant a lot
