The Flaws in U.S. School Testing

article image placeholderUploaded by @dylanjamesolive
Many factors contribute to the lower test scores that are being seen and testing is literally the main cause, I feel like because students are conditioned at such a young age to have the mindset that yearly standardized tests dictate their future. As a student, as a young student, I mean, in third or fourth grade even, I remember being placed in different groups sometimes or how the desks were set up. I think where one group was the so called smart group, they all made the highest test scores

My thoughts on U.S. school tests and why they aren’t effective. #school #tests

But I relate to a lot of what you shared, of my experience of having to test and just having so much anxiety. And I would call myself very a good student. I tried my best, but when it came to testing, I did not do well. And part of me just really feels like we need to set students up for success
