Truth Alone Wins

article image placeholderUploaded by @DrAnoopDiwan
Truth? What is truth? As a child, I always used to wonder what is the truth everybody is talking about? Gandhiji was talking about truth. Gods used to say just speak truth. There are courts like truth alone wins. So I always used to wonder what is their truth? Because as I grew up, I found truth has different meanings for different people. You see two people fighting to talk to both of them. Both claim that they are fighting for their truth

#Truth #AbsoluteTruth

Sir. This is also sort of duty. You did your duty. Actually, you could have kept quiet even after knowing that it was fake or not. Good. But you spoke about truth even though you knew or you realized that others will be offended. It's not a case of winning the argument that you were proved right later. But yes, what you did was duty. Gandhi used to say, truth is God. So what you did was God's work

But however, even if the lie seems to be very pleasing to somebody's ears, do not ever lie right. Always speak the truth. So there are so many nuances to the shloka and this particular, particular post reminded me of that. So I thought I'll share it here

Yeah, very true. Actually, truth usually sounds very better, harsh to anybody who hears it. But the question is, you know what here to please anybody? Never give unsurprisingly advice, even to a perceived friend. That is, it a beautiful quote and has a lot of meaning. But yes, if somebody is asking for advice, then it has to be an honest advice. Otherwise it has no meaning. I get into this situation almost on daily basis

So truth is transient. It moves from one state of being to the other. So by that logic analogy, there isn't a single unified definition of truth. And therefore, the examples that you gave of Mahatma Gandhi, of even if you think of Dr. Martin Luther King and or any of the world peace leaders, historically they have managed to mobilize a massive consensus on the truth that they believed to be true. And so once that went, it had its time, right?

So maybe that is more nearer to the absolute truth. I hope I have been able to explain myself, but otherwise that's right, that all people make truth according to their own convenience. But I think absolute truth is God. If you want to be one with the God, you seek absolute Truth. That's why I said truth has to go through many before it's purity is proved. Thank you

But we live, unfortunately, in an era of society where you need tangible evidence, proof, and that has not been available as mass consensus, as mass availability. It is probably some people can come back and say I witnessed God possible. I would doubt them. But God is not an individual experience. It is a mass experience. And insofar to the best of my knowledge, mass existence or intangible existence has not yet been proven. Mass belief is absolutely in existence

So the thing is, life, whatever offers you, make your own decision, make your own judgment. And whatever you believe is truth according to you, I think that is a truth. And there's no shame in changing opinions as evidence comes so that you go nearer to the Absolute Truth. The day you get nearer to the Absolute Truth I think your soul feels a new form of relaxation, peace. And that is the state of beliefs we all are seeking. Thank you

I think I'd agree with you when you say this is never ending. So we'll probably have to coexist peacefully, respecting each other's opinion. I would also leave you with this particular documentary by Dr. Richard Dawkins and there are many others. It's a wonderful book if you do get a chance to read it. Essentially, it asks questions and it's a long video, about an hour and a half, I think. And if you do find some time, give it a patient here
