I don't think that's a cool thing to do. I wouldn't do that to anyone. So when people who I really care about and trust don't listen to the things that I try to do for them or depend on me and disappoint me, it really hurts. It hurts inside. When one realizes wait. The answer is not continuing to do for others or give to others, or be there for others to the point of self depletion, breakdown, burnout.
