Dalqak’s Message (1), He Had Arrived (2) Rumi

He offers many rewards to anyone who will make the journey. Horses, servants, gold, the robes of honor. Dalcock, the court clown is out in the country when he hears of this. He quickly mounts a horse and rides toward town. He rides furiously. Two horses drop dead of exhaustion under his whip. He arrives covered with dust at some ungodly hour, demanding an audience with the king. A panic sweeps the city. What calamity could be imminent that Dalcock the buffoon should be so distraught?

Hey, that second one, he had arrived really fascinates me. It's a short one, but I find that this can be just as powerful. It's crazy to think that for me, it feels as though it's like coming online and waking up and realizing who you are, but then being bashful again against who you are, as if to deny who you are. But who knows? I'm sure there's a 1001 interpretations of that
