Poet, What is Your Process?

Perhaps you're the person who all of a sudden you have a thought out of the blue and you start to write, and you can't stop until that thought has been intentionally put on that page. And perhaps you're the kind of person who gets inspiration from other poets, poets who uncover things for you, poets who expose things for you, poets who challenge you to look at things from another perspective, from another angle

And I'm a people reader too, energy reader, so I'm going to know what space they're coming from and their deepest feelings of it because I'm an empath and I'll then make a poem for them. I've even thought about doing that and selling them, including angry breakup poems. But with the poetry challenge for the challenge was to write a poem or recite a poem every day for the month of april for the National Poetry Challenge

But part of my process was just being open to how something shakes me up, or how something causes me to go in a certain direction or to uncover something that hasn't been uncovered in my own life, or maybe a thought about someone else from the past or someone in my present time. And this can happen at almost any time where I get this, that I must write this. I must get this poem out. And usually, sometimes when this happens, the words come very quickly

You know, this is such an interesting, intriguing question. What, as a writer and poet, is my process for creating? How do I get to my creative space? I've been asked this question a lot and every time someone asks me this, I always find myself struggling a bit to answer it because my answer is just so unconventional. I don't have a process. I think for me, what is so interesting about how I create is that I am always in the process of creating

I am a believer in magic and things beyond our sight. I am a full believer in that. And so one of my major projects is writing fiction. So there's a part of me that just exists in that space all the time. I'm always thinking about it. I'm always kind of daydreaming about it. And so at any given moment, on any given day, I will find something to pull out of the air that I will write down. I'm always writing

Thank you for sharing. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for sharing. I really like when people allow themselves to just share what's true about them, what's in their hearts, what's going on with them. It's just so cool. And it's like, no one can mess with that, whether your process is your process or you don't have a process. And that's your process. It is what it is. So that's so cool
