Starting Over: Self-Acceptance & Self-Validation
I wanted acceptance. I wanted my idiosyncrasies to be validated. And I went through some very extreme measures to try to acquire that validation and acceptance from others. I sacrificed a lot of myself and a lot of my power in order to get it. And for me to sit here decades later and not have many people in my life after I have tried to gain acceptance and validation from these people, it goes to show that, well, one, that method hasn't worked and doesn't work
