It can lead to being triggered and derailed from your reality and your perspective. Not that I didn't drink or smoke before, but now that I'm in a different phase of my life and I want to do better for me and for my children, I pt to not do certain things and also do healthy things to boost my energy or to make me feel more confident about myself. So, yeah, there are different coping mechanisms that you could use to release the stress or the pain that you're feeling at the moment or the anxiety
