April Fools and Toonami 2012

article image placeholderUploaded by @DerekPierre
The shit was so successful that they actually just ended up bringing toonami back for that chunk of time on Saturday nights, but the kids and adults like myself that just refused to grow up. I don't know what it is about that time, but it's something that just really influenced me. Even this beat right here is something that was introduced to me from adult swim. And a lot of this adult swim toonami cartoon Network era. It's just something that's in me

Why are violence and sex so funny?

Okay, Derek, so maybe you can explain something to me, because I understand, you know, this is MJ, and I understand that there are some differences in generational humor, and my humor is a little bit off anyway. It's just off. I find really simple things hilarious as hell. And then there's some stuff I just don't get in. My 17 year old daughter looks at me and doesn't say anything

Thank you for sharing. I love this so much. It's such a great topic, right? Just getting into, like, the comedy and the history of it, just, like, where things have kind of gone to one. I grew up watching the Simpsons. I love the Simpsons, but I also grew up watching South park and Family guy

The other way. And. And I think that as far as the pressures and everything go, for sure, we have to find that balance, you know, between comedy and tragedy. Right. So thank you, Derek, for that insight, because that's exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you so much for listening to my spoilcast, and I hope your April Fool's Day treat you well. Bye
