Good afternoon, everybody. So today I guess my post is more about philosophy and just kind of following the Stoic notion. And that was, I guess derived from a Catholic thing or something that Catholics use. It's called the Serenity Prayer. I don't know if this was derived from Stoicism or what, because there is a famous Stoic that says this often. Is it Seneca? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I want to say it's Seneca

I love Stoicism, and I love philosophy in general. And Stoicism, I think, is something that gets misinterpreted. I'm not an expert in Stoicism, so I can't say this for certainty, but to my understanding, a lot of people believe Stoicism is just like being ultra brave and strong. And people even describe someone as Stoic if they sort of stand with their head held high and they're proud. But that's a misunderstanding, right?

Yeah. I mean, the second I saw you have thumbnail for this post, my instant reaction before I even heard your swell cast was that it reminded me of the Serenity prayer as as far as I know, I grew up Catholic, and that was a prayer that was very familiar there's, like a Celtic iteration that was very familiar. But it is interesting to see that the Catholic Church wouldn't want to admit this, but how much of these things are derived from ancient Greek and Roman tradition?
