In college, I took a music theory class for the guitar, and I would practice all of my scales and practice the pieces. And my guitar teacher, because it was right after lunch, he always fell asleep. But it didn't stop me. I continued to write songs, I continued to perform. And in my storytelling performances, even to this day, I write my original music and I play my songs. So when someone tells you you can't do something, do it any way

I was told I had no musical talents. We live next door to a piano teacher. I wanted to take lessons, but mom said, "No".

And maybe some would say that it is who you become and who you realize and what you realize you're capable of while going after that, you know, perseverance and goal that you had. So either way, I think it's awesome. And what a great story to tell. And I bet it was good all around. And yeah, I just love to hear that story. Thank you for sharing

Thanks for responding that way and giving me the encouragement. We all have those kinds of stories, don't we?
