Tell me anything! What is something that you want people to know about you?
That's how I captioned it. It's one of those speaking it into existence type of things. And so I am a writer. I've written two books thus far. I am working on making one of the books into a stage play and actually performing it in my town at some point. However, I have a third book that's still sitting on my computer that even though I'm writing it as a book, I've always seen it as a movie script

And so because she's been out there for so long saying all of these things about me, and I just have chosen to hold my peace, because for one thing, my dad, that's what he would have wanted me to do. But for two, I'm good. Whoever chose to believe those things about me without knowing me, it's their loss. And I'm better for them not being in my life, right? But I'm not as strong as people think I am

Even when it's hot, I just feel like I like to sweat and I like to challenge myself with DIY stuff. And today I was helping a friend figure out how to hang some pictures in a space, and it was just fun. It was fun to think, it was fun to problem solve. We're going to continue it tomorrow. But it's a part of that

And so, of course, she lost her hair, probably one due to chemo, two due to it having to be shaved to have brain surgeries. And so she thought I had cancer, which scared me, but it wasn't enough for her to actually bring me to the doctor and see if I had cancer. Okay. The second theory as to why my hair fell out is that I cut it

And so when I finally sat down at the computer to write the book, the first line that I wrote down says, this book is about what I know, it's not about what I don't know. When I know more, I'll write more. And that was the line that I had to put out, I had to verbalize in order for me to go ahead and put the rest of the book out there. No, I'm not your expert

My kid doesn't have the strict bedtime because it's summer. We got more daylight to hang out. So I get into summer mood or summer mode, if you will, and I shut down. So doing new projects is definitely not what I do, although I should. So I definitely admire that you get energized, or at this time, you're energized and you're even helping out friends. That is really great because it's always good to have a helping hand to help with these projects

And the reason I say six years ago is because six years ago is when I got into recovery. Six years ago is when I looked at my situation, I looked at my drinking, I looked at my mental health, I looked at where my life was going. And I decided that I don't like this. I don't want this to be my future. And I did something about it. Now, the thing that is important is that people have to want to change

Through trial and error, I continue to groom myself, grow, and want to admit things about myself that I don't necessarily like that I'm a little bit disenchanted with. This is Joe, right? Joe may have a mental illness, but it's not the mental illness first and then, oh, by the way, it's attached to Joe. Right. And so I've only been employed there for a little over six months, so I'm definitely interested in using people first language. However, this is not my first foray into addiction or mental health, as I was previously married to someone who had a drug addiction

I soul learn something. It reminds me of a time when I was at my lowest financially in my worst financial state, and I was going to the mailbox every day looking for a check, because so many times in the past when I had gotten behind on stuff, out of the blue, here comes a check, right? Somebody somewhere owed me something. And, oh, here's your refund. And I'm like, okay, God, I see you. Right?

So I already know the market is ripe close to the highway, but still quiet. So at best, I may rent out this home whenever I leave. I don't know if I want to have multiple properties. I do, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to manage them. But one thing I do want is an event space

They consult in an office with other doctors and they decide for a person, we're going to put you on lithium, and the person may or may not agree. And I know people are going to say, well, when people are in a mental health crisis, they don't necessarily have the capacity to agree to a treatment. And I understand that, trust me. However, we cannot and should not force treatment onto people who do not want it

I love anything that has to do with aviation flying as a conversation, not because it's what I do for a living, I work in it for a living, and that's boring to most people. So I love nature. I absolutely love hiking in the mountains. I love the peace and the solitude of being in the mountains, the fresh air. And I spent years hiking literally hundreds and hundreds of miles into the wilderness
