But one of the things that I've noticed over my professional career that is the most often overlooked item by people in leadership positions is blaming their employees for their operations failure. One of the items that my mentor, when I was coming up the ranks in management leadership, one of the things that I was taught was a very simple phrase. If you are a leader, I would love it if you even if for one day just adapted this mindset. And the phrase is, it's my fault

They have somewhat of pride, whereas, hey, I'm the boss, I'm the manager, I'm the leader. I'm not supposed to become vulnerable and say, hey, something is my fault, whereas it's really just the opposite. Being able to say, well, that one's on me or It's my fault is very professional one
