One is appropriate compensation for their artists and songwriters, protecting human artists from the harmful effects of AI, and online safety for TikTok's users, the third of which really dovetails into the congressional hearings from yesterday. The letter also mentioned that they recognize the challenges that these actions will cause, and do not underestimate what that means to the artist and the fans of their artists

So that's just a side note that TikTok is a powerful marketing tool, that things do go viral. People see things they like, TikTok shop, whatever, see something they like, and then they go and get it, whether it's a book, whether it's music, or whether it's vitamin D cream. So there's power there. I don't know how uncomfortable these China, the owners of TikTok, are really going to be with this removal of the music library. Maybe

TikTok was more popular with kids because of the dance moves and the challenges that people do. And so now people are stepping away from those challenges because it's getting to the point to where some people are actually dying from the challenges and dance moves. Like someone come up with a dance move and they copy it. They just do the dance move and they get credit for it
