News: ICE under investigation following claims of torture by Cameroonian asylum seekers
With this document in place, the asylum seekers were basically signing off on their pending deportation. A complaint jointly filed by FFI and the Southern Poverty Law Center suggests that there were at least eight separate forced signature events. While the details of this ongoing abuse are still coming out, the fact that it has been happening is not surprising to me or many of the lawyers and civil rights experts involved in this investigation
