College football needs to do something to break up the log jam that takes place following the regular season at the end of the calendar year. So obviously we already know it is bowl season. It also tends to be hiring and firing season for coaches. And that in particular has been kicked into high gear by the the fact that we now have the early signing period. I couldn't imagine having a full career that I'm not technically being paid for. And you're welcome to correct me if I'm wrong on any of this, I guess that I'm not super in the know, but it's my understanding that college kids don't get paid anything for their athleticism. So to be dedicating your life to a full on voluntary career while still trying to maintain your school and family this time of the year, I could not imagine, honestly
