World Mental Health Day

article image placeholderUploaded by @CoreValuesAmy
When I work with the students who bring up mental health, I ask them to think about how they care for themselves, how they care for their mental health, how do they take care of themselves? What does it mean to prioritize their mental health? You see, our core values live in the how how we act out in the world, how we relate to certain aspects of our lives, certain parts of who we are and what's come out of these experiences has been really powerful

I'm not gonna lie, I got a bit emotional hearing the values that they came up with at just 17 and 18. The ones selfpace and authenticity. I found those, like yeah, just just really nice that they have these core values as tools and yeah, they're not replacing anything, but I can absolutely see how they're helpful and important and grounding

@r.o

Rather than looking for balance, I look for collaboration, which brings me into harmony. So collaboration turned inward is a really exciting, creative way to look at my life in something I wouldn't have thought of had I not had the practice of looking at each value outwardly and inwardly. I wish you a lovely weekend and maybe you'll see some ways that your values turned outward, could be turned inward
