You. So in my profile recording, I talked about how I write poetry. I've been writing poetry since I was like twelve. And as poets do, it got better over time. But one of the last poems that I wrote was in 2021, and for as long as I can remember, I have struggled with my body image and the way that I look

For as long as I can remember ive struggled with body image. This poem was an attempt to rewrite my own narrative. #poetry #poet #writing

And that's a challenge because it means looking at an area where it's sometimes hard for me to look at. So, anyways, thank you for that because I enjoy a challenge. Wow. Okay. So, yeah, anyways, it doesn't matter. And this is the thing about poetry. It doesn't matter how old someone is or how young someone is or where they come from or this or that, because everybody can add their voice to this conversation

You learn about other people's experiences and you get a sense of what they went through, even if you didn't go through that thing yourself. And I just think that's beautiful. I love that about poetry and how we're able to convey things to people. Yeah, I'm really glad that you liked it and that it spoke to you, and I look forward to seeing some of your work as well. I'm excited. Thank you so much

I've dealt with discrimination due to my looks and all types of abuses and sorrow and sadness because of simply living in the body that I live in. And so I completely understand the sentiments of this poem. I have had to learn to find love within my body and beauty within my body and to see myself in a way that is totally different than how I used to. I've had to learn to associate me with organic, amazingly natural things that are what I am supposed to be
