What are signs that your work/team culture is too nice?

And how does all that impact not just working relationships but the ability to make decisions and of course, for the organization to meet its goals. Because whether we like to admit it or not, the workplace should be nice, like I said. But it also needs to be full of people who are effective together. So I just want to say that when we are doing discovery or assessment and diagnosis, we're often looking at and listening to people tell stories

And so, yeah, in the spirit of trying to be nice and trying to not drive anybody away, especially if it's a workplace that has a high turnover, in the spirit of not losing employees, you'll find that they'll try to hide things, or they'll try to just make things easier or they'll do things to keep people happy, to keep people on staff. And it's hurting them in the long run

Wow. Is that true? Right? When everybody's busy being nice or wanting to keep things calm and nice, at least on the surface, it is really difficult to have true accountability. And for anyone who's not lived in a culture where there are metrics or dashboards that help us hold ourselves and other people accountable, it it is important, right?

The meetings are an opportunity not just for one person to be up there talking while everybody else is trying not to fall asleep, but actively participating in this Socratic dialogue. Like, do you agree with that decision? Do you agree with that decision? How would you would do it? And then almost having your human resources person in that room and kind of helping the team, everybody learn to work through the snaf foods that kind of are going to arise from that healthy dialogue

Yeah, I like this topic. I've been in sales for a long time and I've worked with different types of sales managers. And I have to say like this, I call it the pit, the war zone sales manager. They will be your friend when they need something. And they and a lot of the corporate entities that I've worked for just make it really a toxic environment. They're nice because they want something and oh man, I don't trust any sales manager
