Do you know how you contribute to drama and politics at work? (Even when you say you hate drama!

And the reason I use it is because, like I mentioned, most of us, myself included, are often unaware of the subconscious programming that we have from our family. We know the obvious things, we know the things that we've intellectually latched onto or maybe we did therapy and we have narratives and patterns that we are highly aware of from our interaction with our family

Part 2 of the Drama Triangle Post #work #career #mentalhealth #workwelove

We have many, many stories, TV, movies, et cetera that build stories around that. By the way, that's why they call show business content drama a lot of the time. So I want to anchor to a few things. One. Cartman originally developed this model to show people the destructive nature of the roles as they interacted with each other, usually in conflict. To avoid conflict or to further conflict

They see it as part and parcel of the job, the project, or anything else. If you confronted them about the drama or the politics that's arising out of that situation, they would either deny it or have another explanation for it. But people who felt alienated or left out or not directly related to that project often saw it from the light of drama or politics. Well, that was a bit of an immature realization

The positive side though is that at least eight things work out or nine things work out. So in your career, if you plot that if you zoom out and at a macro level, if you exit your career at a 90% success rate, that you got to do what you did and you achieved what you could and you are happy about it

Power and Interest as Factors

You're. This is great. I agree. I do think that you are not the only one that oftentimes there's two factors, let's call them, that are often used in change management, stakeholder engagement and it's an assessment of a group of people or person's power and their interest in the outcomes of whatever situation we're talking about

And I'm glad that you pointed out, whether it's in the workplace, family or in relationships, the one that doesn't play a role or they think that they're not playing a role by either dismissing, negating or denying absolutely can have very negative effects on individuals. If it's a group setting, such as a workplace or a family system, this all comes into play
