Have you ever been in a group or on a team that actually learned from its mistakes
Coaching has been around. Learning has been around forever. We are animals that can actually learn from our experiences. And yet I find that people and teams and groups and whole businesses are often just swirling around in the same problems and patterns that create problems instead of stopping, calling a time out, using learning techniques, using tools. Sometimes it's as simple as just agreeing that we're not going to do the thing anymore. I don't know
And I understand it's hard to sort of keep up. There are only so many hours in the day you have to keep chugging along. But it's really important to take a step back, analyze where you're at, communicate with your team in a way that seeks to really meaningfully address problems and go from there. If those conversations don't happen, you're sort of doomed to repeat yourself
