Is it time for another job ?

But we're expected to work pretty much 24/7 while I love what I do and I love the people I work with, there is a battle going as to do I stay because I love my work environment, I love the people I work with? Or do I leave because I'm worth more? And I'm at that point to where I'm leaving because I'm worth more? Just yesterday I went to every three week meeting and it was okay

I used to be one of the people who didn't put on my seatbelt. It took me getting two seatbelt tickets within a week in different locations. It becoming the first thing I do when I get the car. But anyway, I totally agree with everything that you're saying. I've been in those situations to where I saw myself growing with the company. I liked my coworkers. I liked what I did

I lost it because, listen, I was working nights until 08:00 I was coming in on Saturdays. I would sometimes just bring my laptop home and log in on Saturdays just to get some work done. I was doing the job of multiple people, making sure that the ball didn't drop and for someone, for these two ladies to be going back and forth on the email and kind of say, oh, she's full of excuses. I flipped. I said, excuses. Excuse me

And I always say, make sure you leave on a good note. Make sure you put in a reasonable notice, two week notice, three week notice, whatever the case may be. Also always make sure you secure you a job prior to leaving the one that you're on. It only makes sense. And again, it's easier said than done because some people will be ready to leave at the moment. And I get it now

It was my very first job out of college as a teacher assistant for emotionally disturbed kids. This woman was very hard to work with. And when I would talk with the other teachers in the lounge, they said the other woman who left had a heart attack. She had extremely high blood pressure. Her and the main teacher got into arguments in front of the students. It was really bad. So before that even happens, you have to check and reflect

Hey, Keith. So this is like, this topic is like, slapped me upside my face, because here's why. So back in two. So in two, from 2000, 2013, I was working at a job. This was my first recruiting job. And the Lord kept telling me to leave this job, right? That they didn't respect me and they didn't respect the work that I did

And not even just black women, people in general, there's not just black women who don't last. There's all kind of colored women who don't last. Because I've been with this agency for five years, and in that time, I've had several regional directors and have seen several coworkers come and go. This is a stressful job and underpaid. I do feel like that this is a calling of mine. So I do feel like that I'm here with purpose

And then when she left, I stepped up and stepped up again. So I've been growing with this company I've been here for. It'd be five years in March, and I've already reached the top of what I can do as far as an agency, unless I become, like, part of the state, half part of the state, or something higher in the corporate office. But as far as in the building, I've already succeeded on that

Especially not the person who's like the corporate director of the state. We don't do that. But I know I have higher goals and bigger things I want to do. I know that there's more out there for me. This is just a stepping stone. I'm here because I needed the experience, I needed the stress to get to where I need to be. I don't know when I'll go, but I definitely will go

It's a lot to think about. But the whining. Yeah, I had to check myself this week because I was whining real bad last week and I said, you know what I do rubs off. So I had a meeting with my staff on burnout and signs of burnout and what we can do and I need to get back in the gym. I need to get back

Yeah, you're going to get there and we're all going to get there, but we have to really think about when it comes to jobs, we got to think about it. And that's why a lot of people say, well, I want to work for myself. Well, working for yourself say work, too. Okay. Somebody called interrupted. But anyway, like I said, we have to do for ourselves

When I started working for this company, in the beginning, when I wanted to leave, I didn't leave my state for the kids. And the person who was harassing me, the supervisor, was being rude to me. She got fired. And then in the long run, I ended up getting the position that she desired. I didn't get it right away, but that's the position I have right now I ended up getting, and she never made know

You. Hey there. I just wanted to answer your question about how you know when it's time to find another job. Now, for me, I am in a very toxic work environment in terms of my special education job

Hey, thank you so much, Ms. Leanne. I totally get it in working with special needs children because it is a hard job because I work with them, too, time to time. I actually specialize in working with autistic children, but now I work in foster care as a director, so I work with them all, and it does get very stressful. But there's nothing like having your own space, especially if you're supposed to have your own desk, because I have my own

I mean, we should always put 100% in our work, obviously. Right? But then as we get older, we begin to realize this, I think, and the response to your question then changes. And it gets to a point where if you're working in an environment where the people that you work with, you become close with and you really get along with man, that's half the battle

I know I'm not meant to be here to stay and retire. They don't even have retirement. So it's just a matter of waiting on my son to get better. He's getting better day by day, but it's a matter on waiting for his therapy to lighten up a whole lot so that I can have space and finding a job that understands. So thank you so much for responding. And the week's already better. Thank you

That made me smile so much today. That's so cool what you do. Awesome. Yeah, it's amazing. Like, corporate versus what, like, because I have that, too. I've had jobs where, like, what corporate says versus what you actually do. And do you really agree with corporate and RBS? Been there, done that. But thanks for the update and thanks for what you do. It's really cool. And it totally made my day. And God bless
