Silent illnesses

Now I was getting sick because I didn't know I was sick, but I was able to pretty much live a normal life until this illness that came on like a summer virus came in and stayed and I battled it all my life. Now, I'm very grateful that I don't have any side effects of diabetes because I've taken very good care of myself

US. Hey, girl. Yes, definitely. That silent illness, I know what you're talking about. Like, when you say that you see people and you can't even tell they look perfectly normal. I worked with people in my community on mental health, and a lot of them look completely normal, live a normal life. Um, they have, you know, they're out there, but when they're alone, they're very depressed

I still have the chubby neck, as my mom pointed out, I still have the neck. If you feel my throat, you can feel that there's one side of my thyroid that's bigger than the other. And I have to go back every year and get checkups and get lab work done. But I'm starting to question because even though my labs are coming back normal, I still think that my metabolism I still don't think my thyroid is functioning at a high level

It is something that's silent. Like, people often look over red. So that made me have a different aspect and made me think a little different today about that. Thank you so much for replying

Hey, thank you so much for sharing that about you, because you didn't have to. So thanks so much for sharing. That's why I asked for people to share, because sometimes we forget what is silent, and that is definitely silent, like having issues. Kitha that my mother. She had a thyroid problem. I remember her neck was really a lot bigger. I remember that. But that comes along with diabetes. She was diabetic type one, too

Hello. So thank you for inviting me to chat with KK. This is a really good topic. So I started noticing around probably about 1920 years old, maybe a little bit older, that I get these well, I thought they were like pimples or black kids. Under my arm, under my one arm a lot. And I went time I showed my dad and my dad was like, oh, that's a boil

So basically, the fear that I'm speaking about, we both begin to realize that we begin to recognize more so our own mortality, and it's like, Yo, we're getting up there. It's almost to the point where at some point, we're going to be the elders now. So it was really interesting to think about that, because when you're young, you don't really pay attention to the time. Time just flies, and you don't even realize it

So they wound up getting closer to figuring out what it was, but the mono itself had turned into Epstein Barr virus. And that's been active again, oh, I would say a good six years. So now I've got all this other stuff on top of it and being diabetic. But if you look at me, you're right. You can't tell I look normal, pretty much speak normal. I mean, every now and then I switch my letters

Like, she has this guy that loves her a lot and they have a family and is beautiful, but that goes you can't see that you have that because you're covered, but underneath you see it as soon as you look in the mirror. And I know sometimes they can be trying for you, but I am so glad that you are able to face it and that you are sharing your experiences with the world. Thank you for sharing

Hey. Good evening. Thank you for sharing. Sorry it took me so long to get back. Had a couple busy work days. But I do thank you for sharing. And I also thank you and I also thank you for being open to things. I hope your doctor appointment, your results come back well and that you continue to be blessed and healthy. Sorry about the background. I had to get my daughter to turn it down because the TV was so loud and it was agreeing with everything

You talk about type two diabetes. It is very similar to type one. Basically, we both have the same goal, and that's to keep our levels normal and to live the healthiest life that we can without any complications. So anytime you need any support on that, I'm here. I'm pretty much an expert since I've had it all my life

#fibromyalgia #selfcare

Good evening. So hi, my name is Monique, and I do have a silent illness. So I live with fibromyalgia, which is a chronic neuromuscular syndrome that is becoming more aware to the general public now. But a little bit about my journey. I have been healthy all my life. I went to school to be a registered nurse, and I entered the nursing field in around 2010
