I miss a alot :the good ole days

article image placeholderUploaded by @chitchatwithkk
You hear my son sleeping in the background, so if you do, that's what those sounds are. But the good old days, we were able to spend so much time but we thought we had so little time. I miss being able to go to the store and get what I want and still have money left. I miss gas that was ninety nine cents. I miss a lot of things. Life has seemed to pass by so quickly. It the value of a dollar isn't the same

And I missed the times of when I was innocent and didn't know the cruelty of this world. I missed the time where I had so much enthusiasm and so much trust. I miss being younger, but I'm glad to be older at the same time. I miss my grandmothers. I miss my best friend. I miss the good old times of yard sales. I know we still have yard sales, but it was different. It was different back then. Yes

I miss being able to just ride my bike and to go from neighborhood to neighborhood without much worry from my parents. I miss sitcoms. I miss waiting on the Cosby Show to come on. I miss Martin. I really miss Martin. The Jamie Foxx show was good too, but Martin was great. That was like a family moment. We all had to be in the house to watch Martin. I miss sitting at the table eating dinner. And dinner doesn't stop until everyone is there and ready

Some of that anticipation and wonder, to me anyway, is taken away from this experience of waiting with excitement and waiting for the next thing to drop and just I don't know. I feel like the quality of music today isn't as good as it was back then, but I am discovering new music now, so I don't know. But I do miss that about the music and the fun and the joy and the laughter and just being in sync and talking about music, I do miss that

It's. Thank you for responding. You sound much like I did when I was talking. I can definitely tell that you were remembering those times and that you truly missed them. We have to remind ourselves sometimes just how simple life used to be. We have to remind ourselves of that. And then we have to refocus on things. Things. But something as simple as being able to smile because you're happy, you're enjoying the moment, that's precious as well

Yes, I do miss sitcoms, too, like Martin and The Cosby Show and and, you know, the show with Laura and know I miss those things. I miss. We do. And you're right with the lights and the bike. Kids today don't ride bike and worry about coming home before the lights come on. I remember my mom used to tell me that too. Like, don't let them lights catch you. And she was waiting too

I remember sitting down and being like, oh, so and so is going to have a new and everybody's sitting there like, oh, it's coming. And then we're all looking at it and we're like, do we like it or do we not? And then, yes, everyone was waiting to go to get the things at a store and then now with the itunes, you could just kind of like go on there and listen
