Bailey Zappe has cleared waviers and has rejoined the Patriot’s practice squad!
So he was put out on Waiver. He was eligible to be signed by another team, but no one claimed him. So he came back to the Patriots and has rejoined the practice squad. I'm very happy about this because, as I mentioned when I first reported that he had been put on Waiver, I like the kid. I think he is slightly better than Mac Jones, and I think he could be a really great asset to the team

Finding a quarterback on the waiver wire who's not going to be familiar with the system, who wasn't in training camp with the team, doesn't know the playbook. So it's a very risky move, and I just totally don't understand it. But Zap, I think, struggled a little bit in the preseason. Maybe that's why he wasn't taken. I'm a little bit surprised that nobody selected or took Malik Cunningham

So if you're wanting to play around because the Patriots are already messing around with fate already and we haven't even started the season, they're already messing around with the higher powers that be. But if you really want to mess around, you can put Zabi as your starter, put Mac as your second, and then Malik will be your third. Or depending on if all the things you say with Malik are true, you bring him to second, put Zappi up to first, and make Jones

The only thing I read is that the 49 Ers are kind of enamored with Mac Jones for some reason. Not really sure why, but that's what I read. I'm not sure if there's any truth to that. But I had read that when they let go of Trey Lance, and that was one of the reasons why they said they were really coveting Mac Jones. No idea whether it's true or not, but yeah, I have no idea what they would actually get for him

It's not like I would give away someone like Brock Purdy or Christian McCaffrey or anybody great when I'm only getting Mac Jones who is a okay quarterback in my opinion. So I don't know if he's worth anything anyway way, but we'll see what happens. But yeah
