Now, I'm only 17, so I didn't get the chance to see him do his thing on The Prices Right, but my grandmother knew him, and other people in my family watched him on the Prices Right, and so they were familiar with his work, and they loved him. It seemed like everyone loved him. And I've watched some clips on YouTube of him on The Price Is Right, and he seemed like a really fun guy and seemed really nice

Thank you very much for the post, zach, while you talk about an icon, bob Barker was larger than life. He never met a camera that he didn't like. When I think of daytime TV, there's no question that Bob Barker is on the Mount Rushmore of it. The way he galvanized audiences from very his generation speaks volumes. I was fortunate enough to be able to watch him host the Prices Right for about ten years while he was hosting

He really dealt with celebrities, not necessarily the contestants. And maybe Richard Dawson is in kind of that same boat where they really have fun with that contestant. And that's what it was always about, having fun with them. And one of my favorite moves that Bob Barker would do is he would know that they were a winner, and yet he would delay the actual unveiling of that contestant being right

And that was this is Bob Barker reminding you to help control the pet population, have your pets spayed or neutered. So awesome that he just committed to that every single episode for literally over three decades. It's nice that that's the last thing that you hear because it's obviously something that's really important, but yeah, Bob Barker, what an incredible guy. I will long remember him
