How can I be more confident and comfortable in my skin?

article image placeholderUploaded by @chantalangeliqu
You. Hey guys. So it is Sunday and I am getting ready for work. It's another day in the nine to five life. I just this one's kind of different because I didn't want to share so much of what I think. This time I'm kind of actually looking for advice because there's been something that has been a really hard thing for me for pretty much my whole life and I want to see if I can get perspective on it, see how I can do better

How to be confident

So I would just make that list, write it down, put it in your pocket, and use that the next time you're at any kind of social gathering. And also I suggest if you are at something like a party, like, I know for me, I could get very awkward at parties if my friends are off doing their thing and I'm just standing around doing nothing

And this allowed me to dissolve a lot of ideas of people saying that was wrong or broken or failed about me and realizing, no, I'm just wired differently, neutrally. Not good or bad, just differently. And that allowed me to also reshape how I understand myself. I also have created a jar of what I call sparkles or glitter. And when people give me I may have to run into the second clip here

And, you know, it's really true that I spent my entire life trying to fulfill everyone's else expectations of what they wanted for me and what they saw in me and what they wanted me to be never worked. Never. No matter how hard I tried, it never worked. And as soon as I stopped doing that and started doing what was best for me and started really understanding and loving me, that is when people started to like me. That is when people were drawn to me

But I'm not going to just give you some platitudes to see, like, okay, this is what you have to do. Because I don't know you well enough to see what you're comfortable with. I want to get to know you a little bit more

And that's partly the answer to your anxiety and frustration question that you brought out. The second reason may be because you think that the men who approach you have only one agenda in their mind, and that's to hook up with you in some of the other way. So probably you are not ready because you have a low self esteem at the moment. And at the same time, you also do not want the men to know that you have one

Very relatable questions, the questions that try to tweak and makes me think a lot of times how to answer your question. It's difficult to answer your questions, but at the same time, I also find that there's lot of relatability and there is a lot of depth in your questions. You're trying to find something really authentic and genuine about your life. And thank you for being authentic. That's what I want to say as I say goodbye to you

So definitely going to take that suggestion, write everything down and keep it with me. So I really appreciate you responding and taking the time to even help me out. So appreciate that. Bye

You. Wow. Thank you so much for your suggestions. Again, I am writing everything down, taking notes, because I'm going to try all of these things. I really appreciate your suggestion about the jar and then also about how we're never going to be completely devoid of insecurity. It's going to come. It's going to go, definitely. I'm trying to make it less than what it is now, because it really does affect how I move in the world

We all live busy lives, and so when somebody gives you a couple of minutes of their time, which you've given me ten, I'm very appreciative of that. Just want you to know that it's not in vain. And everything that everybody is saying to me, I'm taking it and I'm just going to keep listening to it, keep listening to it and really allow it to help me out

You. Thank you for that. About pointing out the patterns and how it becomes your identity. That's very true. So this is something I've struggled with for so long, I almost don't know how to be any different just because this has been my way for so long. So I appreciate you pointing out the patterns, how that becomes your identity. Tea and then how you have to basically reverse that by being self aware, realizing that you're doing it
